BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 is set to kick off on November 22, 2023, with the first round of the group stage featuring eight of the world’s top Counter-Strike 2 esports teams. Here, you can find our top esports betting picks and predictions for the day.
BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 Round 1 Picks
FaZe Clan vs Ninjas in Pyjamas
FaZe Clan enter BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 in excellent form. They are the #1 team according to the HLTV rankings, on a 15-match winning stream, have won three tournaments in a row, and have the best CS2 player in their ranks, Robin ‘ropz’ Kool.
FaZe Clan have had a few slow starts to their games recently, where they went down a couple of rounds, but all they need is a multi-kill, and they are back at it.
Historically, something like this is not sustainable, but at the same time, if you are FaZe’s opponent, lose the early lead, and bite into the narrative that Faze always wins in these situations, it could start messing up with your mind.
There are rumours of Russel ‘Twistzz’ Van Dulken discussing a move to Team Liquid. But we don’t really know how far have these talks gone and considering how well FaZe are doing now, Twistzz might reconsider and stay with the team – especially if FaZe do well at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
NiP’s most recent roster change was the addition of Alex “alex” Masanet from Movistar Riders, who will take over the IGL role from Hampus “hampus” Poser.
Moreover, star player Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin has been replaced by Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, who was brought back from inactivity from their bench.
All these changes are coming from their new General Manager, Björn “THREAT” Pers, who has enough experience and should know what he is doing. But I am not sure if I’ll ever see this team competing for the top spots or if they’ve had enough time to gel in time for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023. Perhaps there will be more roster changes soon.
FaZe are coming into the game as the betting favourites, which is not surprising. NiP are in the middle of a roster rebuilding process, have won only two of their last ten games and I am not sure how competitive they can be right away with a new IGL.
If this game ever gets to the third map, FaZe Clan at 1.40 offers the most value. The longer the game, the more should the scales tip in favour of FaZe. It is still a big if, as they will probably win the series 2-0.
- Betting Tip: FaZe Clan to Win Map 3, 1.40 at SBO – 1 Unit
Cloud9 vs Natus Vincere
It has been about a month since Dmitry ‘sh1ro’ Sokolov benched himself. He was replaced by Kirill ‘Boombl4’ Mikhailov from 1win.
Ahead of BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023, Cloud9 have attended only one event since the roster change – the Thunderpick World Championship 2023, where they won three out of four games, losing only to the eventual champions, the FaZe Clan.
Losing Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev, the greatest CS player of all time, and replacing him with Ihor ‘w0nderful’ Zhdanov is not ideal, but if the attitude s1mple was displaying off the server was anything close to how he was acting in the game, this has to be a massive positive for their IGL, who now has a player that is actually happy to play the game.
The climate in the team should change for the better and might remove some of the pressure on players like Mihai ‘iM’ Ivan.
At 2.20, I am willing to go with NaVi to deliver in the first round of BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023. Sure, they haven’t been playing in more than a month, but the new atmosphere should do “w0nders” for them.
Keep in mind, they still have Valeriy ‘b1t’ Vakhovskiy and w0nderful somewhat looks like a “lite“ version of s1mple. And if iM gets back to the level he was at GamerLegion, this team can do some real damage.
- Betting Tip: Natus Vincere to win, 2.20 at Bet365 – 1 Unit
Complexity vs Astralis
Astralis have played well in recent tournaments, but the problem is that they are a dead team walking.
According to recent rumours, Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard are definitely joining the team. If you want to know about the recent drama between the Astralis and Heroic, the video below sums it up nicely.
This could be an amazing team full of firepower. But we are not there yet, and Astralis definitely are not “it” yet for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
As for the current Astralis, there could be some uncertainty about who will all actually play in the next lineup. Yes, Nicolai ‘device’ Reedtz and Benjamin ‘blameF’ Bremer will be in, but for the other three players, two will have to go.
There is a possibility that they have not yet decided on this, considering the disconnect between the players and the management we have seen in the past.
The last time these two teams met was back in July, under the CS:GO rules, with Astralis priced at 1.60 to win. They won 2-0, 16-12 on Vertigo and 16-4 on Overpass.
This time around, the odds are much closer, with Complexity at 1.90 and Astralis at 1.917.
The public is expecting a close game, but Complexity are going against a dead team that doesn’t have much to play for and given their decent recent results, they should be in good spirits for BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
At 1.90, Complexity are the team to bet on!
- Betting Tip: Complexity to Win, 1.90 at Pinnacle – 1 Unit
Vitality vs Heroic
Vitality have recently lost Emil “Magisk” Reif, who is reportedly close to joining Falcons, and replaced him with a British player William “mezii” Merriman from Fnatic, who will make his debut at BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023.
His signing marks the second change to Vitality’s roster since the release of CS2, following the return of Rémy “XTQZZZ” Quoniam as a replacement for Danny “zonic” Sørensen, who left for the Falcons.
I’m not even sure where to start with Heroic. They lost two of their best players, Martin “stavn” Lund and Jakob “jabbi” Nygaard, and now they are losing maps to teams like Nouns.
If you want to know more about the whole situation, watch the video mentioned above.
Heroic enter BLAST Premier: Fall Final 2023 without any real pressure, but the same can be said about Team Vitality. And with that much firepower, they should be in contention to win the whole thing!
- Betting Tip: Vitality to win, 1.40 at Bet365 – 1 Unit
- Betting Tip: Vitality to Win Group B, 2.75 at Bet365 – 0.50 Units
- Alternative Tip: Vitality to win Map 3, 1.60 at BetWay – 1 Unit
