Valorant In-Game Skins Released In Celebration of VCT LOCK//IN

The 2023 Valorant competitive season is set to kick off with the 2023 Valorant Champions Tour (VCT) LOCK//IN tournament, slated for February 13 – March 4. In celebration of the start of Valorant’s third official tournament circuit, the game developer released a new skin line found in VCT LOCK//IN Capsules.

Celebrate The Start of VCT With New Valorant Skins

The newly-released VCT LOCK//IN Collection is a new collection of cosmetic Valorant skins celebrating the start of LOCK//IN 2023. Already rumoured weeks prior, Riot Games officially announced a new skins line on Thursday, February 9, with a short video showcasing cosmetic items for knives, player cards, and a new spray.

The new Misericórdia knife bundle includes stunning new weapon skins with colour variants inspired by the three new international regions, including Pacific, EMEA, and Americas. In addition to the three region-inspired skin variants, Riot Games also released a red weapon skin, representing the Valorant esports scene as a whole.

Besides the four new knife skins, the VCT LOCK//IN bundle will also include unique player cards and a VCT LOCK//IN Spray.

As the first skin bundle released after the introduction of a parented league system, half of all net proceeds from the collection will be shared among VCT partner teams. Moreover, the bundle will be available only between February 8 – March 7 and will not return to Valorant in-game store or the night market.

Players will also be able to collect exclusive rewards for watching the VCT LOCK//IN 2023 on Twitch or Youtube. Anyone who will watch the tournament between February 13 and March 4 will receive a “Locked In “ player title, while those who will tune in for the Grand Finals on March 4 will be eligible to collect a VCT LOCK//IN Dad Hat Buddy Gunbuddy.

VCT LOCK/IN 2023 Kicks Off on February 13

The VCT LOCK/IN 2023 will mark the first Valorant tournament of the 2023 season and the biggest event in Valorant’s esports history. The competition will be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and will welcome 32 Valorant teams, including all 30 partnered organisations and two Chinese squads, EDward Gaming and FunPlus Phoenix.

The tournament will run for three weeks, ending with a best-of-five (Bo5) grand finals, where the top two teams will compete for the lion’s share of the $500,000 prize pool and an additional slot for their region at Masters 2023.

Days before the tournament kick-off, Natus Vincere led the outright betting markets (5.50 at bet365) as the most likely team to win the opening event of the season. They’re followed by DRX (6.50 at bet365), NRG (7.00 at bet365), Fnatic (7.00 at bet365) and the reigning Valorant world champions and home favourites, LOUD (7.00 at bet365).

The event will start with the opening games of Round of 32 on Monday, February 13. You can follow the action on Twitch or YouTube.
